SportsHopes is a high school to college pathway student-athlete support all-volunteer
501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation organized for public and charitable purposes.

FEIN # 27-0420819

The mission of SportsHopes is to help high school and community college
student-athletes move forward to four-year colleges,
play the sports they are passionate about in college, stay in college,
graduate from college, work towards a career and obtain self-sufficiency.

SportsHopes was founded in July 2008 and incorporated in September 2009 by local area resident, Jennifer Oliver, when a profound need for knowledge and support pertaining to the high school to college student-athlete pathway was realized. Based on what she learned and experienced from teaching children and teenagers martial arts in the local community, from serving as president of a local high school Athletics Boosters and from assisting her own sons on the college pathway, she founded the org to help where need was evident and real.

Information (“knowledge-sharing”), support programs, pathway assistance, mentoring and funding for specific registrations and applications are currently provided to high school and community college student-athletes seeking assistance. While SportsHopes focuses primarily on assisting student-athletes from local schools in the local region, SportsHopes will assist as possible any student-athletes seeking assistance. SportsHopes is based in Castro Valley, CA, a town located in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California.

All services provided to high school and community college student-athletes are provided free of charge.
